I went looking for somewhere to stream parts of the album, and this is on his myspace page.

It didn't blow me away.  I'd like to listen to at least a few more tracks before I bite the bullet.

It's 10 bucks man!  Smile  97 is a strange one lyrically for me to wrap my brain around and it might be easier if I knew some of the story behind it if there is any.  The rest you may find equally difficult lyrically and the melodies and rythm is kind of a blend of 50's, late 60's (think sgt. peppers), and 80's pop with some combination of Paul Mccartney (solo moreso than Beatles), Billy Joel, and.... something else that just doesn't hit me at the moment.

Good good stuff though.
