We're not really her.... demographic.

That's putting it mildly.

jars are working on a christmas cd.

it's something they want to do and are not being forced by some record label. otherwise it may be some worship album with some name like, "in the company of angels III - the world is still singing and we are wondering why the sales of this cd is doing so poorly until we decide that we will make some other band do another one".

Last month I asked Andy when the band would tour the new record he said "Well...we were going to tour in the fall, but Danielle got knocked up again; so that's not gonna happen"

For all of you whining like a pregnant Pomeranian about dates: you know that they'll want to tour Spring 2008.  Find out who books shows in your area and get with it.  The squeaky wheel gets oiled.

i have a source who knows a distant relative of someone who delivers mail to someone on the band's christmas card list that gave me this info regarding "Overdressed" being listed at the EssentialRecords site:

...about the provident thing.. the catch is the provident distribution actually distributes all of INO projects.  so there is some grey area there. i guess the positive is that it is free marketing even though we don't like provident Smile

so that probably explains that.

That brings up a question:  Will the band own the music like Derek's owned the music from most of his CDs?  That is, will the copyright line be along the lines of "copyright 2007 Caedmon's Call, licensed to INO Records"?

Haha.  Um.  There are two types of music ownership, and I'm sure the circle p and circle c will be similar to all CDs.

It depends on how they do the publishing aspect of it. With the seasoned songwriters they've got, there's no reason for the band (or,...moresolikely, the individual songwriters [Webb, Osenga, Googame, etc]) not to retain ownership of the new stuff. The old stuff, however, will likely be retained by whoever published it.

And I'm not even all that smart.

Geof, I'm sure that you are totally right.

no team should ever celebrate being the nl central champs (st. louis included) thats like bragging that you made it 2 second base with a hooker.
