I have it, and it is great.

As soon as the video accompanying the album is complete, a new JeremyCasella.com will drop, and you'll be able to pre-order Recovery and get a digital download of the full album at the time of purchase.

Throw any conceptions you have of what Jeremy sounds like or writes like out the window.  This album has strings all over it, combined with some interesting drum-and-bass stuff.  I've been listening to it pretty much non-stop since 8:00 p.m. last night, and I'm not tired of it yet ... and I tire of music pretty quickly.

Geof, I'm sure that you are totally right.

no team should ever celebrate being the nl central champs (st. louis included) thats like bragging that you made it 2 second base with a hooker.

Can't wait.  This is turning into a banner year for SPA-type music.

sorry for the delay in the posting of the pre-order site and video. We're almost done. Should post this evening.

Thanks for your patience and support!

You know, I found it really hard to compare it to anything... maybe someone else can think of something but  so far, not me. It's just a really cool mixture of folk/pop and classical that I haven't really heard before... very cool record. In fact, I may go out on a limb and proclaim this my favorite Square Peg cd (with DWebb very close behind). I love it.

the pre-order site is live. So for $15 you can pre-order the album and then download it immediately.

also there is a "making of" video that gives some background and story behind the album.

check it out at:

Yeah, I feel you... I guess "building the Kingdom (through consumerism)" loses its effect after awhile.

Sean (who has downloaded the album... and is trying to get his wife to understand that he's not a huge shopper, really. Very Happy )

OK, I bought it this morning.  my wife took it pretty well.  I think maybe she'll like it.  I'm certainly enjoying it on the first listen.  It's gonna get spun several more times today, I think.

I need to do more listening, but my initial impression is wow, this is good.  This album is quite an accomplishment.  Reminds me of when I first heard MPJ's Throwing Punches and I knew immediately that I was hearing masterful, high quality songs from someone who was taking huge jumps forward with his art and succeeding brilliantly.

I'm with Stuipd!

Good analogy.  This is unlike anything I've ever heard.  And superb.

if you had to compare the sound....?

I would sit silently by and point you to jeremycasella.com so you could listen to the clips behind the video.  Any "this sounds like" comps would not do it justice, and knowing me, would suck anyway.
