Amazing song.  The third verse has possibly some of the best lyrics I've ever heard in a song before, and they're so true.  Fourth verse is really great, too.

However, the point of this post was more for this: I read on the derekwebb.net song description for Lover that he originally wrote more than the five verses that are heard on bootlegs predating the album She Must and Shall Go Free, the album itself and all subsequent recordings/performances.  Is there anywhere to find these verses, or was it more of a "Derek planned on more than five verses, but narrowed it down to that many" kind of thing?

that's a good question. just wanted to say that i love this song, its become one of my alltime derek faves. i love that he closes shows with this song right now.

Which is funny, because on How to Kill and Be Killed, he goes into Awake my Soul by saying something along the lines of "We can't leave you on that."
