maybe i don't play this cd loudly enough...or maybe i'm just flat-out mistaken, but i thought that was the instrumental track.

I think that maybe Wally was kidding.

Derek's joke was that the song title was going to take longer to say than the track would take to play ... however, to do that, he'd really need a Sufjan-level title.

When I hear this, I think, "Self, what a wasted use of space.  Couldn't we have gotten another song or something?"

I also wonder why it's even on there.  I don't find a point in putting "intermissions" like that on a CD.

for some reason, i really don't mind this being on the album.  i think that it serves as a good transition to MEAMLM.  i think "intermission" type things are more helpful on longer albums because there can be so much to digest.  mockingbird isn't a really long album, but i think that this song fits anyway.

I think it fits on the record, but my first thought upon realizing it was an interlude was 'what a rip.  bring the track total down to just ten'.

And after finally listening to the record through several times, I think that's one of its greatest deficiencies...  too short.  It finishes, and I'm sitting there feeling like it isn't finished yet.
