Hmmm...as with "I Hate Everything (But You)", I found another striking similarity to the work of an artist Derek listens to:

Cold Roses by Ryan Adams & the Cardinals has a song called "A Kiss Before I Go".

The horns just throw me off -- sounds like the Carpenters or some 70s lounge act again. The rest of the tune is good.

This song doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the album, though.

I like this song (though it is quite different stylistically than the other MB songs), but I don't like it when songs talk about love and drug addictions and equate the two - drunk on wine is one thing, but I just dislike the 'addict to his fix' reference... but melodically I do really like this song! Nodding Yes
